African American Advisory Council
The African American Advisory Council(AAAC) is a nonprofit volunteer group comprised of caring, dedicated and conscious individuals committed to empowering African American youth community and the arts at large. The council is responsible for organizing some of the most coveted and exciting events in San Diego since 1196. The council is comprised of professionals, teachers, local leaders, home makers and community members with the common goal to carry out the the mission of the AAAC:

The mission of the African American Advisory Council (AAAC or The Council) is to advise and participate with the San Diego Repertory Theatre ons stregthening their involvement in the African American community of San Diego. Its objectives are:
A. To advise and assist the communication, promotion, direction, and planning of the Rep's marketing activities and programs to the African American community for all productions at the Rep
B. To advise and assist the Rep in further diversifying their company, artist board, and staff
C. To advise and assist the Rep's fundraising activities and efforts to support outreach and audience development programs
D. To establish a viable community resource at the Rep promoting African American art, culture, and heritage
E. To Welcome Artist of Color to the Rep o both a formal and informal basis
F. To encourage and supoprt the African American community in attending a variety of Rep productions and to help establish the Rep as the true Town Hall of San Diego's art community
